OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
- To co-ordinate and oversee all site functions on a Project - on a strategic, financial and
- operational basis from initial design stages to completion and to ensure that a Project
- progresses according to budget, programmes and time frames set.
- To assist the Contracts Manager in achieving the objectives and targets set for the Company and to contribute to building long term sustainable relationships with Customers (and their agents/
- representatives) and Sub-Contractors.
- To ensure that all tasks should be completed to the high standard required by the Company and in accordance with its Policies & Procedures set.
- To mentor, develop and motivate junior quantity surveyors and trainees to improve
- performance and to directly contribute to achieving a successful completion of projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively report and address risks, draft assessments, and SOPs, maintain
- insurance coverage, transfer risks effectively, identify opportunities, and contribute
- to mitigating actions and peer reviews.
- Supervise, coordinate, and communicate operational plans on-site, oversee labour
- activities, interpret instructions for effective planning and execution, and ensure
- adherence to financial systems and project requirements.
- Efficiently manage cash flow, maximise cash-flow through timely payment
- applications, maintain accurate records, align systems, execute project close-out
- activities, reconcile values, and optimise revenue and payments for subcontractors
- and variations.
- Implement and adhere to internal commercial policies, maintain data confidentiality,
- define responsibilities for site staff, uphold quality standards, supervise and
- coordinate works on-site, and manage contractual documentation and feedback.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying, related qualification
WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum of 7 years' experience on general or major construction sites involving the
- supervision of a number of activities.
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
- CCS Candy Estimating & Valuations
- CCS QTO
- Contract Knowledge (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC)
